Our work
Hilos y Colores is a producer and exporter of handmade textile home and fashion accessories. We partner with retailers and brands around the world to create custom-designed products utilizing our rich artisanal production skills in weaving, knitting, embroidery, crochet and sewing. We weave our own fabrics, dye our own yarns, embroider contemporary and traditional patterns, crochet embellishments, and make beautiful pom poms. We work with artisans in our workshop in Ayachuco and in remote communities in Vinchos, Socos and Chuschi districts.
Our mission is to preserve ancestral textile techniques and provide income to families in rural areas who have few other job opportunities. Our values and operations are rooted in the principles of Fair Trade. We protect the environment by using natural fibers, including wool, cotton and alpaca. Hilos y Colores upholds social responsibility values, respects the environment, and contributes to the socioeconomic development of our region.
